Road Patrol General Requirements

Enforce motor vehicle, state, and criminal lawsOhio Peace Officer Certified

Corrections Division

Corrections - General Duties

Corrections General Requirements

Receive and discharge inmates completing the entire booking process including fingerprinting, photographing and searchesKnowledge of Corrections Procedures and Methods
Responsible for the movement of inmates from one location to another within the facilityKnowledge of regulatory requirements governing jail operations
Monitor inmate visitation activities while ensuring the proper level of securityExercise sound judgement under possible stressful situations
Patrol housing areas to ensure the proper level of security, health and welfare of inmatesCommunicate verbally and written
Monitor closed circuit television, intercom systems, security vestibules, and jail cells.Withstand vigorous physical activity
