Hidden In Plain Sight

EDUCATE

In Hancock County, the average age of first drug use is 13.

Children are 50% less likely to use drugs when a parent or trusted adult talks with them about drug use.

ENGAGE

The Hidden in Plain Sight trailer is a mobile road show which allows a mock youth bedroom to be set up at any location. Participants are able to walk through and identify signs of drug use

EMPOWER

The Hidden in Plain Sight trailer will empower parents and caregivers with skills to prevent future drug use and resources to seek help if needed. The quicker we can intervene, the greater chance we have of building safer and healthier families and communities.

START THE CONVERSATION

Long-term research shows that parents can have the greatest influence on their child’s decision whether or not to use alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs.
